Gerry grew up in Cupertino CA, loving baseball and playing in the creek. He built a life around organized sports. He got married young and started a family. After his divorce, he moved into a life of crime that took him first to a 24 year sentence and then, after that, a 25 to life sentence in CDCR. After 37 years in total, he was released through Board, and he moved into Francisco Homes. Gerry first came to class at Mass Liberation after he’d been out for three months, and he stayed around from that time on! He’s a helper by nature, and after a couple of years helping the organization sporadically, he became our full-time driver. He’s a diehard Lions fan.
