Michelle’s transition from a 23-year corporate career to reentry advocacy was driven by personal experience with the justice system’s impact on families—especially the trauma endured by children. Her work began at PATH, where she helped expand a reentry program that connected formerly incarcerated individuals with housing, addiction treatment, and support services. She then joined the LEAD program, focusing on care-based alternatives to incarceration. Now serving as LGBTQIA+ Housing Outreach and Program Manager at Mass Liberation, Michelle champions equity, safe housing, and community for those most impacted by systemic oppression. Beyond her role, she builds coalitions, chairs the Long Beach/South Bay CAP Alliance, and serves on multiple nonprofit boards, continuing her mission to heal, support, and transform lives.
